Application Process

The Application Process

  1. 1 Submit your nonprofit application through this online form
  2. 2 Local leaders review submitted applications for their location
  3. 3 Qualified organizations undergo a vetting process to verify standards
  4. 4 Five nonprofits are invited to participate in the initiative for each location
  5. 5 Sign the participation agreement and complete banking forms for electronic transfer of funds

Giving Machine Nonprofit Application - Information You'll Need

Step 1: Basic Information

    The common name of the nonprofit organization.

    Nonprofit Legal Name

    The full legal name of the nonprofit organization.

    Primary Contact Name

    Name of the organization's primary contact person.

    Primary Contact Email

    Email address for the organization's primary contact person.

    Primary Contact Phone

    Phone number for the organization's primary contact person.

    Organization Address

    Provide the official address for the nonprofit organization. No P.O. boxes.

    Charity Registration Number

    Provide the government registration or tax number (EIN, CRA, BN, ABN, …).

    Application Submitted By

    The name of the person filling out the application.

Step 3: Organization Details

    Describe the organization's history, purpose, and primary activities.

    Describe how the organization ensures accountability and transparency.

    Awareness and Promotion

    Describe how the organization promotes awareness of its cause.

    Organizational Overhead

    Describe the organization's operational costs and overhead expenses.

    As a participating nonprofit organization, we commit to using less than ten percent (10%) of Giving Machine donations for overhead expenses.

    This commitment is required for all participating nonprofits.

Step 4: Items for Consideration

You must provide at least 8 items that your organization needs. Each item requires the following information.

    A short title for the item (max 30 characters)

    The cost of the item in your local currency

    Description

    A brief description of the item (max 80 characters)
